How to protect yourself from Internet Scams:

Make sure you understand what you are getting into. If you don't understand the offer, get more information. If they offer more info, check it out. If they don't offer more info, and you need it, get it by e-mail, if possible, or think twice about the offer.
Be extremely wary of giving out personal information (i.e., your SSN#, credit card numbers, or bank account info). Scam artists can do damage with even minimal information. Only give out information if you completey trust the site/company, it is a secure link, they have a privacy policy, and it is completey necessary.
Beware of online auctions. Most of the time they are O.K., sometimes they're not. Use an online-escrow service.
